BACK TO PA....

Well I'm back in Pa again...I feel like I should get my own private plane.   O, I don't like to fly ok maybe I should get my own Limo and driver.  My mom is in the hospital with a very bad infection in her leg.  They want me to put her in an assisted living.  That is not an easy decision to make especially since she is flat out refusing to go to one.  I would have to go to court to get guardianship.   She is having trouble taking care of herself when it comes to when she gets sick.  She'll take antibiotics for one or two days and thinks that's enough.   Well we will be talking to the social worker tomorrow.  Wish me luck..

Cricut Class

My sister-in-law had a class on the cricut machine for scrapbooking.  So many people have these machines and don't know fully how to use them.   I really made this very cute card.

Oops, sorry forgot to turn the card around before loading.  Anyway I thought it turned out really cute.  The next thing I learned was drawing with ink.  I have had my machine for a few years but have never tried the ink.  So I made a coloring picture, Isabella is really going to like that I can do this.

The next card were ones that I made a month or so ago.  They turned out cute and didn't really take much time.

We all had a lot of fun in class.  I think cricut should hire Pat to teach classes.  They sure are missing the mark on sales of cricut items because people do not understand their machines.

Weekend Workout

No not exercise :)  Saturday Greg worked on the fence.  A section fell down and some of the boards needed replaced.  We want to stain and seal the fence but need to do some repairs first.  While Greg worked on the fence I cut down some of the tree limbs behind the fence.  We still have some more to cut down but need to get the power saw out for that.  We need to clear out a wider path between the fence and the trees.  This way the sun can get to the back of the fence after a rain to dry it out quicker.   That will make for another weekend.

That evening we decided to check out a Chinese auction that we seen in the paper.   The auction things really looked like things that did not sell in people's yard sales.  I know they were trying to raise money and I hope they did well but it wasn't the kind of Chinese auction I'm use too.  Since we were close to the beach we decided to check out one of our favorite seafood restaurants to see if it has opened for the season.  Well we were a week early.  It opens this weekend, yummy can't wait.

We decided to stop at a place in Swansboro.  It's fun trying out different places although I really need to watch what I order in terms of seafood.  I ordered stuffed flounder which I really like.  The fish came out whole with the bones in.  The fish was good, the stuffing I really didn't like.  I guess I'm so use to the Red Lobster seafood.  I'll have to start asking how it will come out on my plate before I order it.

Sunday we went to the homecoming of the church that Greg grew up in.  A friend of his mother's ask her to go so we went along.  He sister and brother and his wife and niece also went.  It was nice with a pot luck luncheon after the service.

No Turning Back (to Pa)

Well it's official....I now have a NC license plate on the back of my car.   I feel like we should have had some kind of ceremony, you know like the changing of the guards.  The plate I have is actually only temporary because I have ordered a special plate for the NC Zoos.  It costs extra but most of the money goes directly to the Zoo.   With a NC license, my car now registered in NC, and a NC license plate on the back of my car, I think that makes me official.  Now if only I could find a job.......
